The LINEAR II is a versatile, highly accurate single-axis length measuring instrument for inspection of plug gauges, ring gauges, snap gauges, external and internal thread gauges, as well as for setting and calibrating other measuring instruments. It also allows the precise setting of internal and external indicating measuring instruments. In addition to high precision, the LINEAR II offers extreme ease of operation for fast, accurate and repeatable measurements. With a constant measuring force which is switchable for both internal and external measurements, measuring results are independent of operator influence. Because the LINEAR II has direct readout over its entire range with a measuring carriage that can be locked in any position along the scale, it is also an economical alternative to fixed setting gauges and serves as a high precision calibration instrument for micrometers, calipers and depth gauges.
